Joanne has accrued a broad range of environmental, regulatory (including climate related) experience, working over 25 years with operating companies, consultancies, Government and NGOs. Since joining Shell in 2004, this has included developing applications under the UNFCCC Clean Development Mechanism, review of environmental target setting and supporting plans for greenhouse gas emissions reduction as well as working on the maturation of the Peterhead Carbon Capture and Storage Project in the United Kingdom. From 2014-2019 Joanne worked as the line of business focal point across 9 countries and 11 non-operated ventures building deep insights on greenhouse gas related risks and opportunities to identify areas of collaboration with the Shell Group’s aspirations for managing climate change. More recently, Joanne has contributed to the development of Oman Shell’s Energy Transition Strategy and worked our joint venture partners on their decarbonization journeys. Joanne was also responsible for establishing Shells Gift to the Nation: ‘Solar into Schools’ Project.
